Manufactured in Japan, 24v
While operating my Back hoe last week I went to turn it off and it wouldn't turn off. The power went off but the engine didn't. I unhooked the battery cable, but it didn't work. My wife's cousin (a professional operator suggested that I take the ignition out. It didn't work. My mistake was that I mislabeled some of the wires. I need get or find the wiring diagram for this ignition switch. It's 24 volt with 6 post.
the lettering on the back of the switch starting from the top and moving clockwise is TOP-C, 1-B, 2-R1, 3-R2, 4-BR, 5-ACC. POST 2@3 have a black wire connected to them. wire colors are orange, gray, red (big), purple, light blue, purple (big),
I know this is an automotive forum but I'm sure you can help. I'm having a hard time this info. thanks

Moved thread and may get moved again. No clue just yet what the heck this is really. Is this even a gasoline engine?
Only suggestion so far is don't disconnect battery when an engine is running on anything! Plain never do that on anything that uses an alternator for charging systems.
24V should just be the set up to get more power out of less wire like I think is used in big rig tractors/trailer rigs - not my thing at all. Still DC current just would alter for certain things.
Again, explain what this engine is a bit as the site really does focus on automotive and regular trucks more that equipment but similar issues common to engines prevail,

I'm sure it's a diesel. That's why it wouldn't shut off. There should be a shut-off for the fuel pump.
You're going to have ti get your hands for the correct wiring diagram for that exact piece of equipment. I doubt you'll find that here.

I tried to look this thing up with little luck. Yes - especially if diesel and a mechanical fuel pump engines would never shut down until fuel quit by some manner.
IDK - not part of my forte. Just know HD equipment would want this as the most indestructible power source NOT to quit by surprise as much as possible?
