can't stop exhaust leak at header

89 ford f-150 5L I loosend the collars that hold the header pipe @ manifold. Pipe looks fine, header looks good, collars do not appear, to be warped. I tightend them as hard as I dare. But it still goes hiss, hiss. Got a little more torque on em after I warmed er up, still hissing. As always I am most grateful for any advice
