2000 gmc Sign In

cam position sensor wiring diagram. "shop key" does not show. have been messing with truck since last wed starter turns for a few seconds then everything stops!!!!!!!

This should be about the starter motor or wiring and power to it right now, T

I believe the cam positioning sensor is built into the distributor on that truck. I agree with Tom, the sensor will not cause truck to stop cranking over. Should not even cause a no start. The crank sensor can cause a no start, but not a no cranking situation.

thank you both! so far we came up with theres a shutoff switch to keep the starter from overheating. still stuck the chevy dealer said they had an expert fix the last one they had and he cant get any answer from gm thanks again
