Nissan versa flooding advice

Hi all,
I am an owner of a 2018 Nissan Versa, 50k miles. Since last September (roughly a year) the passenger side of the car has flooded twice - there is a serious design flaw where the inner drainage system is easily blocked by leaves/environmental debris which results in an overflow of water behind the dashboard area. Rain water floods the entire side of the passenger area which, after reading other forums of owners with the same problem, sometimes impacts the cars electronic system. I am here to seek advice as to what to do with my car. How easily do cars rust and grow mold? I an extremely thorough with my cleaning and am able to effectively rid the car of any odors or water, but of course I can’t control what happens to the inner body. Is the car worth “keeping on top of”, or should I sell now before significant problems occur?

The solution is pretty simple.............
Stop parking it under the tree that is causing the problem.

 Pretty impossible to avoid trees, but thanks. I understand the solutions here - but the car has already flooded twice and am wondering what the likelihood of something catastrophic and irreversible happening solely from this. Take it easy

The chances are pretty good you will have permanent damage. The carpets alone will not dry by themselves. They will stay wet in the padding and start to smell from mold. There also may be other modules mounted under the carpet or under the dash where the water is coming in.
This problem exists in every car ever made if trees are allowed to drop things onto it.

Mold sure can be catastrophic! Lift rugging and try to let dry best you can. LYSOL is suggested to kill mold also spray it down by wipers where air comes in - LOTS OF IT.
You may have to have some ductwork, heater and evaporator fussed with so it can be blow out backwards.
This would render a car totalled IMO if it got so bad makes people sick,

Thank you. You can imagine my frustration the first time, but now it's happened again within a year I am absolutely dreading what's to come with this. That's why I am thinking of just getting rid of it and "starting over" with something new before I'm dealing with rust and mold for sure, or the electronic system blowing.

Changing cars isn't going to stop the problem. The tree is the problem, not the car. All cars have cowl vents that will plug up with tree droppings.
How well did they clean it out the first time? Did they simply open the drain and leave all the loose tree droppings in there to clog it again?
The important thing now is getting it dried out properly. You have to detach the carpet and prop it up away from the floor and direct a fan directly under the carpet. I usually put a blow dryer next to the fan so it circulates warm, dry air.

You have our solutions (if it works) for this car but what can you do about where it's parked? Cut that tree down? Is it yours to do that?
If not and that's your designated spot get a car cover. They have them with a flex rubber sewn in is kinda like a hat or hood maybe with pull strings. They pack up to nothing and are pretty fast to use.
IDK of a vehicle that doesn't have air coming in, they do put grate and screen some types of yuck from foliage will still get thru some, YOURS quite apparently.
Think - it's probably also clogging passages for water to drain off gaps or doors and trunk or hatch. If bad enough hold water there will get in the back/trunks where many put spare tires find those destroyed and full of water too.
Figure something out that's just not a place to park a car till you do something,
