  post locked   Which power probe

I probably posted this before but it's been awhile . I want a power probe and am not sure which one to get . So if I tell you what I am looking for that might help . I need one that will detect shorts . A lot of my wiring will run sometimes 40 feet . Sensor wiring for bad grounds or shorted out wiring . Blowing fuses and not sure which fuse . If you give me advice on which power probe could you tell what test can be done ? Thanks

Power probe makes a tool specifically for finding shorts but it does none of the things that a traditional Power Probe does for testing electrical circuits.

Thanks Hammertime
One of the problems I am having is I have a cam sensor showing 1.5 volts Should have at least 7 volts . I can't get to idm or ecm because of the way it's built every easily . So I thought maybe the wire is rubbed thru or broken . This is one problem and I worry down the road about other electrical problems down the road with other vehicles Again thanks

This thread is about a power probe. If you have a technical question, start another thread in the proper place and include the proper information.

I wasn't asking a question or looking for an answer other than the power probe . Sorry if it looked that way

Go with the 4. The ECT 3000 actually works WITH the 4. It has a ECT Signal mode. But the 4 is where its at!! P2P readings are a lifesaver

Cloak: Look at the dates for the last post activity please. This one pushing 3 years old the thread is done with in weeks usually if no more activity please leave those alone considering them done with for archives. I'll lock this one if you have ideas or favorite tools for certain tasks not selling them just make a post of your own about an item about that,
