Hello Everyone, New guy here. About to dive into the world of transmission rebuilding. With all the brands and parts out there, I know some are better than others. (Experienced first hand) Anyways, figured I would ask the experts where I should begin. What rebuild kit brands are best and which ones should I avoid? GM 4t65e TransmissionThe transmission was pulled from a wreck with about 200k miles on the last rebuild. Was working fine at the time of accident. I did vacuum test the valve body and have a few valves that were a bit low (I'm guessing without comparison.) Should I just rebuild that or replace the entire thing? Thanks in advance and looking forward to sharing my experience.

We only have one real trans expert. He own a shop. I think it's in New York. His name is Gary (gsferraro). He should be along when he gets some time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Hello, The only rebuilding kits i use are TransTec, the kits are basically OE Quality, Filtran filters are great, that is OE and if you get into the German ZF Transmissions only go OE. So what's the 4T65E doing, i usually go for the rebuild, if you do watch the clutch clearance on the 2nd and 3rd clutch. Gary
