I have 1995 Chevy blaser 4.3 2door. The air bag light flashes 5 times goes out then stays on while driving (since 3/2/06). The service engine soon light just came on today (3/29/06). I am being told it needs a oil change and all should be fixed. This advise came from a so called mechanic that I just stopped taking my repair to since they allowed a car's fuse block burn up.

Was the fuse box fixed up properly? An oil change is a good thing but probably has nothing to do with your check engine light. The air bag light?? You may need help figuring that out more than I can do here with the history you presented. Good luck, stay safe, T

Actually Tom that particular car ended up being an insurance claim. I refuse to send my repairs there anymore. I just don't have a owners manual for the 1995. I no on my 2002 Impala it has a change oil light, and a co-worker stated that he had 95 blaser and when the oil was due to be changed the servive engine soon light would come on. Thanks for the information.

Sorry you had a bad experience with a shop. There are some out there that are not good or honest but I believe most are doing their best for customers. Hey - a body repair shop may be a good bet for this. I don't do and never did but it's a different trade and some are real good at it. Forgive us as well you must know there are 10 Zillion makes and models out there and I dare anyone to know all of them and quirks. Good luck, We are still here to help as best we can. T
