2014 Kia Forte sedan 70k I had already started my Kia once today and moved it across my driveway, but when I went to start it again later in the day it would not start. When I turn the key to start it, it does not crank up. The sound it makes is like an empty crank. It has never failed to start up since I've had it. Ignition attempt/ noise https://youtu.be/kDAPCytb2_s

Sounds like you lost compression which could mean it broke a timing belt and on that car, that could be terminal to the engine because it's an interference engine. You should do a compression test right away. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

I'll be running a compression test as soon as I get my hands on a gauge. I thought since I had moved my car to my backyard maybe a small branch or debris got lodged under the car. Regardless, I'm going to inspect it thoroughly later as soon as the rain clears. Thanks for the insight and help. I'll update.

Mark order. If this is that bad and you can just put a finger over (cold only) an open spark plug hole it will probably do nothing. Normal would push your finger right out or hiss bet there's nothing, T
