Look down inside the throttle body to see if you can see any gasket material that has been sucked inside the throttle body. If the gasket os torn, the rpm's will increase due to excessive air and the ECM will add more fuel to compensate for the extra air. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

Using junkyard parts can cause you even more headaches than you have now. If your going to take the path of throwing parts at it, then change the whole throttle body including the IAC. You may have a better chance. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
