I have a 1997 Chevy Silvarado Ext Cab that has been pampered since the day I purchased it (new). One flaw that I recently noticed is that there are a few spots of oxidizing forming on the top near drivers door and one on the hood. Anyone know how to stop this before it gets any worse.

You mean the paint job?? It's sad but it may have been touched up even before you got it new. I've owned a few cars know from new that had paint work done and a late uncle who worked for a car carrier company that simply had some damage over the years from hold down chains or whatever. Some got bullet holes (no joke) from being delivered thru the country by rail. There was a point when damage would either be disclosed or the vehicle destroyed not to even be parted out as car makers don't want any dissatisfied customers, T
