94 sonoma engine knock on acceleration

94 sonoma engine knock on acceleration

94 GMC Sonoma recently had distributor shaft bearing replaced. Engine has bosch plugs champion wires. Engine idles rough when vac line is connected to the vac cylinder (round plastic bulb). Idles better if line is plugged. Engine has what sounds like spark knock on acceleration does not knock if cruising. What might be my problem? Knock sensor?
What might be the vacum problem. Before fixing the rotor engine ran very rough and had alot of carbon build up. No check engine light.
