03 Explorer ABS light on Sign In

2003 Explorer with V-6

Just replaced right side front wheel bearing assembly with new sensor About 6 miles and the ABS light came on. I removed the new sensor and replaced it with the old one. ABS light is still on.

Is there a way to determine which sensor is causing the problem - right front? left front? or the one sensor on top of the rear differential?

Yes, you have to get the ABS module scanned for codes. Your assuming it's a sensor when it may not be at all.

Like HT said you are going to have to get the codes pulled to know for sure.

If the light wasn't on until you did the work, double check everything. You've already swapped sensors, which is good but at this point doesn't totally eliminate it, also take a look at the new exciter ring for cracks or missing teeth, compare it to the old one make sure it looks the same & has the same tooth count..........
