Sorry about that. they are Remote controlled Helicopters. Pretty fun hobby but it sure can be a hard one to learn, R/C heli's on the hardest R/C vehicle to control. I've had some pretty bad crashes with my new one already.., Thank God you can replace all the parts on them. -------------------------------------------------------- Your only as good as your tools!

At the price of some of those, it can be an expensive hobby especially if you arent good at controlling it. I know i'd suck out loud at that... I'd give it a try if someones was fool enough to let me learn with theirs.... In the old days ..we used to buy a Balsa Wood Airplane, take it out of the package, insert the wings thru the body, attach a piece of metal to the nose and throw it in the air....i was lucky if mine ever flew more than a few feet. These other old pharts here should remember these... I think they used to cost like a dime or a quarter....

My service manager was just telling me a story yesterday about this stuff. He had a very expensive helicopter that he was playing with in his neighborhood one day. He saw a real helicopter flying in the area so he thought he would have some fun. He flew the R/C up to the real chopper and got behind it to make like he was chasing it. The real one suddenly just bulleted away so he went back to playing. Within 5 minutes he had red dots appear all over his shirt. It was the swat team all pointing guns at him. They went over to his $600 chopper and stomped it to bits and then they took his controller and did the same thing. I guess they don't like that. PS......... I made this post mainly because it was number 10,000 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Congrats on the 10K Desi..... Yea, humor & things in the air doesn't really seem to mix these days. I'm still amazed at some these nitwits who try to be "funny" going thru airport security & then can't figure out WHY they wind up in the "back room" & miss their flight....... RICH KIDS??????????????.... Hell Jim the rich kids had wheels & meals on theirs........... I just said I had one......... never said how I got it............

I currently have 3 flyable helio's, and two planes. Try a twin counter rotating rotor type . It eliminates rotor torque. thus no need for rudder channel. If you want to see some ex$pensive r/c ing., google R/C b-52 or large scale r/c planes. LIFE'S SHORT GO FISH

Wow.., that B-52 is awesome. I'd end up crashing it through someones house though. hehe. I wonder how much that thing cost's anyways. My first heli was a twin counter rotating rotor wiht no rudder or tail rotor, very easy to fly. What kinda heli's do you have? -------------------------------------------------------- Your only as good as your tools!

You don't have to worry about crashing it . The owner did at a r/c airshow. Yep straight in from 1000ft. Google r/c b-52 crash . Word has it he had about 10k in the plane , electronoics , and engines . Those were real scaled down turbine engines . Not cheap . For a older bomber google R/C b-29 or B-25 they have got four weedwacker engines and for blade props. As for my helo's : a E sky Honey bee. a syma shark and a twin rotor job that i bought off ebay ,a crash special , E sky parts fit it. My planes are a super cub with a 3ft wing span ,50 mph,and a super lite stol electric that can fly at walking speed. LIFE'S SHORT GO FISH

If I were to get into something like that, I would probably start off with one of those micro RC planes and fly it around the living room. Would be interesting to see the cat chasing it around. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

I saw this video awhile back of a German company that made some type of electric four bladed copter. It really didn't look like a copter but it has some sort of gyroscopic /gps computer controlled processor on board they built. They could hover the thing and the pilot set the controller on the ground and the copter didn't move from its position. Next, the pilot pushed it with his hand and it floated away, but came back right to the same position it left from. Then the pilot grabbed the controller and moved one of the controls and the copter shot straight up like bullet till you couldn't see it anymore. Last, he pushed a button and the copter came back down right to the same position it was before. update: I mistakenly found the video it has six blades...pretty cool http://www.youtube.com/...&feature=related Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

My two dogs run and hide if i even pickup a controller . STORY : I was flying the super cub in the front yard (Its two acres) with the dogs not even interested. I was glideing in with motor off for a dead stick landing.Note : its real quiet then. I misjudged the rollout and rolled into their butts. Scared the crap out of them . They growl at it now for some reason. LIFE'S SHORT GO FISH

You guys are nuts but love you for that. I still like Double J's balsa wood job and HAVE one right now! Adjust the metal thingy for how it will fly or do loop-de-lews (sp?) 10 cents or less back when, paper kites perhaps a quarter! Tom (edit) Have one that's marked "JetFire" on may fireplace mantle just like that! THEY STILL SELL THOSE NEW! Not 10 cents anymore but still cheap..... If adjusted just right they could go for 1/2 a mile with one throw then go find the dang thing!
