swapping out the wiper pulse module? Sign In

I have a 1998 Ford Ranger XLT. The wipers work like they should but I dislike the speed of the wipers. I've timed them with a stopwatch to show the delay of seconds between the wipe of each setting with the engine on and parked. First speed is off, second 19:80, third 17:70, fourth 14:70, fifth 11:70. The sixth speed wasn't much different 11 seconds. A dramatic jump on the seventh speed 5:70, eighth 2:78, nineth 1:40, and for the tenth speed 1:01. Could I add a new pulse module that gives a better time? Does anyone know what I could use? Thanks. I

Really don't think Ford had different options of modules with different timing on those. If you're into electronics, you might be able to modify the circuits and change the timing. I know you can change timing in circuits using a 555 timer IC and different rated capacitors and resistors. There are videos of people constructing wiper delay circuits.
