As an assistant in a Car wash shop. The owner, I'm working with has already 3 other branches. I need help to take care of the operational expenses incurred. We use resources like water, electricity and materials for vehicles cleaning. I'm running out of ideas in sorting and managing. I need some new methods in budgeting and cutting down expenses of the shop. By the way, we already tried the traditional ways. I need to know any other solution for energy reduction in terms of monitoring and maintenance expense. I'm hoping to hear from car shop managers around.

This is plain management no different than any business not unique to just cars. If you aren't into biz management this isn't for you or go get trained, T

If the owner has 3 other branches, ten you should be comparing notes with them and see where you are higher and why. This is just knowing your business and analyzing a spreadsheet which you should know how to use if you are qualified for the position. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

We are currently problematic with our electricity bill, and I'm looking into using energy management systems that might help us lower our energy consumption. Based on my research, people that specialize in monitoring and management can significantly help us with our utility and operating expenses. This is the website of the company that I might contact next week, Link deleted ............. not allowed are you familiar with their company? they seem to be in the business for a long time now.

This is an auto repair forum. This isn't the type of advice we deal with. If your utility bills are too high, then you seem to have issues with your basic business plan. Your business plan should have been designed around fixed costs. It seems this would have a direct relationship with the equipment purchased.

Ngan: Same with HT - this is a car/vehicle repair forum not an accounting class. This is no real difference than you own personal money management for your life. Money in, where it goes and why. Basics - anything - money or about anything if there's something different in this case a cost that is different than it was in this case can compare it to others and check a year's worth of the cost and what changed. It's accounting but not much different than a grocery shopping list and expense - what changed if all wrong? Tom
