Heating Issue 09 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring

Hello, this is my first post here. I have an 09 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring and I'm at a loss on my heating issue. I have owned the vehicle for about six months now and in that time have replaced the heater core, thermostat, flushed and burped the system and I still cant get any heat in the winter. It is stated in the Carfax that the radiator was replaced at some point. If the temperature is blow 50 (give or take a few degrees) I will not get heat whatsoever. if its above 50 degrees, I get some heat. then above 60 degrees, everything acts as normal. My gauge reads correct in the cab and does not show the coolant overheating. My theory is its a sensor at this point, or that a tube/part wasn't connected properly and I have outside air rushing in somewhere.

A few things could cause lousy heat with what's been done.
Engine's radiator is old, a new one not impossible or accident? If 6 months too long now would need burping air out so for now forget that.
Core is new - fine hope that was done exactly right. Heat only request should be using outside air? Most do.
Climate controlling if equipped will either lower % of heated air or flow of abundant warm/hot coolant.
Most (IDK each of a million ways core is done) use blend doors is a flap in ductwork very well no moving properly or enough.
It's hard to know physical motion of the items is actually happening just doing the core is invasive lots gets moved, breaks complicates it now? If professionally done did it work right away? Should have checked even hot weather time if done then vs cold weather - tech should have actually,

The first thing you need to do is bring the engine up to operating temp and then feel both heater hoses going into the dash and see if they are both hot to the touch.
If they are, then your issue is in the inside air door controls. If they are not both hot, then you have a circulation problem and that has to be looked into further.

My dad and I have checked them and they are how they should be. We let it run to open up the thermostat and checked the temps on both hoses. They were/are right at the temps they should be. That's when he tried manually barbing the system which caused some air to release but ultimately didn't help. So he bought a kit online and fully worked the air out of the system with no luck.

Right as they should be? I asked you if they were hot to the touch. Too hot to hold on to.

As in they were able to be touched/squeezed. My dad has on multiple occasions checked that they were at their operating temps, they never get out of range. That's after driving it for hours as well as from a fresh start up getting to operating temp. My gauge also rises to operating temp but will never go over/under.
My dad is 61 and has been working on all types of vehicles his entire life. This is the only problem that I can recall that we haven't been able to get good research on to resolve. Just as some background.

Well, that engine is programmed to run at approx 220 degrees so you should not be able to hold onto the hose and squeeze it when it's at full operating temp. If you can hold onto either of those hoses, the engine is likely not getting hot enough.
If the hoses are actually getting hot enough and you still have no heat, then you have a problem with the blend door or blend door actuator. You will have to inspect that to determine if it's working

Awesome, I will run that by him and see what he says. You don't think it could have anything to do with the failing water pump, do you? It's covered under an extended warranty I purchased so its going to be fixed here soon.

Sure it could, among many other things. Until you do the testing I suggested you aren't going to know which direction to look.

? Can be squeezed. Hammer asked if too hot to touch? Air there as with typo (yours) said some air came out? That's not good nor right.
Boiling air or air can be hot or not but vapor in a heater core will not throw you heat if all else was in order.
Who did the heater core and what type of problem did it have? Was flushing this full of garbage of some kind? It's old enough to suffer from neglect of changing coolant or had a head gasket issue with junk put in to conceal that some will just wreck the show.
So will anything left unplugged to actuate the flap doors or some pivot in plastic - it had the core done I said INVASIVE if not done right the cause changed to a "blend" door.
Now > see if it makes pressure on its own again without wild tools just squeeze a larger hose like to radiator cold (nothing) warmed up will be tighter. If it goes to pressure instantly you have exhaust gasses getting in cooling system it's just not way too bad or would blow smoke or something now out tailpipe or hidden totally.
Dad's a mechanic this may (IDK) use heater core as also the bypass hose for cooling system or not meaning "hot" water so called is always running thru the heater core and has to or damage results.
It's hard to diagnose now a new heater core I'm afraid that didn't go too well is in the cards now??
Some things have to be witnessed in person if not Dad another diagnose this for you,
