Well, I guess that depends on you ability and knowledge level and the amount of tools and equipment you possess. There is no magic answer you will get online with no test data or info. The first step would be to get your hands on a scan tool or high quality code reader and scan the computer for stored codes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

?? Does this mean away from a mechanic AND away from home base too? Also, what prompted you to check oil I thought most of 2002 told you to check oil so check it by dipstick. Was there any problem before you did this? If not now and don't waste time lower the oil level! Get it level and correct meaning on level ground. A or B without much if you wanted to try is find the drain plug and just loosen and let it drip into a clean catch pan about what you put in. Check again. Without tools AYOR you might get oil out by replacing oil filter but it doesn't hold that much. Many you might turn by hand if cleaned off and can get at it well let old one leak first, stop and check then do the math HOW OVERFILLED WAS IT? If you get to do this carefully with proper amount again and it doesn't go away something really went wrong you didn't say why you checked it at all if you thought that was a problem and it was it probably already did damage? Can't know for sure but if stuck I'd try something, T
