Windshield issue Sign In

1998 Ford Taurus
128000
3.0/6cylinder

I just purchased this car used at an auction back in mid may. My problem is there is like a haze/film on my front window. I have used glass cleaner and such to glean the glass and still have the haze. I kinda wonder if something didn't spray on it from an engine overheat before I got it because there are signs around where you put in the antifreeze of a overheat at one time. Does anyone have any suggestions that I can use that might clean the glass and remove the haze/film.

If this is hard to clean INSIDE along with loss of coolant that's typical of a leak in heater core. If so - I lack a time estimate for that fix but it's not one of the easiest sorry to say. If just that, keep coolant full as best you can and fix asap as overheating from lack of coolant just adds horrifying possiblilities!

Get some real fine steel wool and some good glass cleaner and lightly rub in circles and then wipe it off with a paper towel. You may need to repeat the process once but that will take off about anything.
