1932 Hearse Sign In

Hi. This is a weird question, but I'm writing a novel set in the 1932 and my main character is about to hot wire a hearse. Could you walk me through the steps on how it's done? The model doesn't really matter as long as it's a 1930-1932 hearse and US made.

Thanks in advance for this odd request.

Back then they used column locks, so your character is going to need to pick the lock cylinder to be able to release the lock pin in the column drop. Most had push button start/floor start and the switch on the column was used to turn on the magneto.

That's awesome! I assume it's just like picking a regular lock?

Laugh - that and there were only a few different keys for brand of car so just try a few one would work,
