06 Altima driver's power window replacement -HELP Sign In

I need help on replacing the glass in this vehicle. The glass is held to the regulator by two small u-shaped tracks glued in place with some kind of epoxy. The glass was previously broken and replaced and the technician did not use the glue properly, so the glass just came out of the holders and dropped down in the door.

There are no access holes in the door. The upholstery comes off and there is a complete metal panel with the regulator attached with various bolts.

I need a detailed step by step on replacing this glass and regulator.

If you have ever done one of these or have the detailed steps, please help.

Retired but would still take something like this on. Gotta look and pick the plan of attack from what you see,

I learned that the attachments come already afixed to the glass, and there are no alignment marks for when the attachments come off. The cement had come off on both attachments, and I had to guess on the first one's location from the dirt/residue "shadow".

Luck and pluck in this case.

If, after removing the glass, I had cleaned it as I usually do, I would have had NOTHING with which to align the attachments.

The only other way would be to cut a pattern from a new window.

On this vehicle, the entire plate comes off with the motor and regulator. There are two holes to gain access to the two bolts on the U attachments on the glass.
