I think all Nissan sentras 08 came with CVT, SO there is no PCM (computer) to use.... and not a swap. you might want to confirm that cvt only.

Gosh that would be a nightmare swap if you were to put an automatic into it. Your better off finding another CVT (JF011E) in the salvage yard or selling off the car. Gary, have you done any CVT overhauls? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Are you asking if the procedures for removing the automatic in a 2003 is the same for removing the CVT in an 2008? I'm sure there are some subtle differences. Do you have the service information for R&R the trans in the 2008? edit: To replace the transmission in the 2008 you have to remove the engine and the transmission as an assembly. It's a big job. 9 hours. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

thank you for responding,so to replace the transmission on o8 sentra we have to remove the engine is that what you are suggesting, do mean that's the easy way to do or the engine must be removed.

According the service information the first step is to remove the engine with the transmission attached from the vehicle. I've never done a CVT removal on one of those, so don't know if there are any cheats. Maybe Gary has. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
