transmission problems i need help and input

I have a 1995 gmc sierra truck i recently had engine changeds from diesel to a gas carborated, now the transmission wont shift out of 2nd when driving.can someone help me is there something we need to do ,due to the engine conversion?

I'm not a trans. guru, but the transmissions nowadays are computer controlled. And, I'm pretty certain that the diesel and gas engines use different computers. A trans. shop or a GM dealer could probably guide you better.
