MadWe have a 96 Mercury Sable Wagon and when we got it we were told that the transmission was rebuilt in april 2006 (we bought it the end of Oct.96). We took it out for a test drive and even had a mechanic check it out. It drove fine and didn't seem as anything was wrong. Since we got it last oct. , we've have had nothing but problems with the car. Had the transmision "rebuilt" again in January and have had to take it back to the mechanic 3 times since then. Had the transmisson line replaced as there was a leak in it. Also, they put in a new torque converter. They tried to fix it with a used,or cleaned up one, didn't work. THey say that they can't find anything else wrong with it. I don't see how since there is transmission fluid leaking. What would be the best way of gettinn our money back for work not completed in a timely fashion. If they couldn't fix the car properly,I feel that we should be able to get our money back because the work was never completed. Oh, we have a year warranty with the mechanic but this is ridiculous!!! 4 times back to the mechanic in 2 months?????!!!!
Hope to hear an answer soon.
