Transaxle Removal - Nissan Quest Sign In

'99 Nissan Quest
I need to replace the driver side (left) transaxle because of roughness and noise. The left side is held in place with a circular clip the service manual that i am using says to tap out the transaxle through the hole for the right side axle. I would prefer to not remove the right side transaxle. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so how or do i just need to suck it up and remove the right side so that i can tap out the left?

For what it is worth, i replaced both axles about 6 months ago and i now suspect that the drivers side has gone bad since it is slinging grease out of the boot seal.

Thanks for the help,
Jeff

Re: Transaxle Removal - Nissan Quest Sign In

I ended up using a small crowbar and a block of wood to release the circular clip. Work great.
