I bought a used 2007 Toyota highlander, 3.3 engine w/ 166553 miles. Everything is great, no lights on showing something is wrong. The only thing I notice is when I start to take off I have a whistling noise and once I hit 30mph (no more or less) the engine or transmission will jolt. I dont feel a decrease in gas I feel like everything sort of pauses then continues to take off. Does anyone know what could cause this?

have the vehicle scanned for codes - YES even if lights are off. Post ALL codes- do not purchase parts without advice - NOT part supplier advice technician advice. Scans are FREE at most auto parts stores- easy fast FREE. Let us know - this is an automatic transmission?
