My Honda accord 2009 automatic drives for 10 seconds and goes to a stand still Sign In

Hi

Please help in regards to what is causing my car to drive for 10 seconds and goes to a stand still and when I put it on drive again after pressing the brakes for long it enters into gear and drives again and after 5 seconds it goes to a stand still. When I jack up the front tyres and put it on drive the tyres spin very well and when I jack it back down it then drives for 10 seconds and goes to a stand still. I did book for a diagnostics twice and it turns out the gearbox and engine has no fault. I thought it was an ATF problem and I drained it out and put in a recommended ATF but still it drives for 10 seconds and goes to a stand still. Please guys if any one can advise what might be the problem I will really appreciate because some said it's a converter problem and I changed the torque converter but still no solution as when put on drive it refs for long and the car still couldn't move and it takes long for it to move into gear despite it moves for 10 seconds and goes to a stand still. Please help.

Yes there is a noise you will hear as soon as you start up the car and after it idles for 2 minutes you stop hearing the noise.

Yes there is a noise you will hear as soon as you start up the car and after 1 minutes you stop hearing the noise. If you change gears from drive to reverse or to sport you dnt feel any change at all and when you manage to hold on to the breaks for long you will then feel the gear change and you drive for 3 seconds after that it's like it's on neutral or parking as the car just refs on the same position. We tried disconnecting the air filter and the car got its full power again and claimed a hill and when I hold on the break and tried to accelerate it sounds as if it's on neutral or parking again as it just refs.

Hello,
To me it sounds like the filter is clogging up. The filter on the Honda transmissions is located inside the trans and is not serviceable without pulling the trans out and taking it apart
