Year of Vehicle 1993 Make of Vehicle: NISSIAN PICKUP D21 HARD BODY Engine: 2.4L 4 cylinder 4WD Mileage: 152,100 Greetings everyone. The original problem with the 93 NISSIAN Pickup was with the Bad throw out bearing. I changed the Clutch, Pressure plate, and Throw Out Bearing. New slave cylinder, and a new Clutch Master Slave Cylinder was installed. When I was exchanging the old Clutch Master Slave Cylinder, I forgot to adjust the adjustable pushrod in the new Clutch Master Slave Cylinder to the exact position of the Old one. I used a One Man Break Bleeder and 32 FL OZ of DOT 3 Brake fluid to bleed the Clutch System. I then gravity bleed the Clutch Hydraulic System. After, I finished bleeding the Clutch Hydraulic System, I saw no air bubbles in the One Man Break bleeder line. Transmission is hard to shift into gears. How do I adjust the pushrod in the Clutch Master Cylinder to the proper length ?

The push rod is not your problem. You still have air in the system. Hydraulic clutches are self adjustiing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

You can't gravity bleed a clutch. It will not work because the bleeder is at the bottom and the air rises to the top. A pressure bleeder may help. The air has to be forced out the bottom before it can rise up. It's never easy to bleed these things.

Did you bleed the clutch damper too? Here is the service information: Note: Bleed in the following order: Clutch Slave Cylinder, then Clutch Damper. Carefully monitor fluid level at master cylinder during bleeding operation. 1. Fill reservoir with recommended brake fluid. 2. Connect transparent vinyl tube to air bleeder valve as shown. 3. Fully depress clutch pedal several times. 4. With clutch pedal fully depressed, open bleeder valve to release air. 5. Close bleeder valve. 6. Repeat steps three through five until clear brake fluid comes out of bleeder valve. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Yeah right, Good luck with that. I've done that for hours without getting a good pedal. I ran a half gallon of fluid through one and still had air.

Today, I had may brother press the Clutch Pedal will I crack the line to bleed the hydraulic system. We bleed it till all the gears went in smooth. The only gear that didn't go in smooth was the reverse gear. Later on, I went to start the car to test drive the truck, it was as if we never bleed the system. I couldn't get any of the gear to engage. The Clutch Master Cylinder, and Slave was just recently purchased from Autozone. Maybe bad rebuilt parts. what do you guys think. The Clutch Master Cylinder reservoir is full. The system isn't leaking any fluid.

You STILL don't have all the air bled out.
