My manual car won’t go int 3rd gear when I try put it into 3rd it makes a grinding sound and gearstick vibrates. When I try put it in second it will occasionally do the same but if I take it out and try again it works. All other gears work perfectly. What could cause this? I drive a 2017 Mercedes’ A class

Robert, This needs more info for this site's specialist, Gary. I can't tell myself if you are talking a standard shift vs automatic it's too new for me would be makers warranty that new I would think? An unsaid 100K or 5 year for this stuff have to fight for it,
