Ford focus 2009 gearbox Sign In

Hi I bought a Ford focus from a dealer and the car was fine during the test drive and on the way home drove around 200 miles and then started making noise and oil on floor were I Park it over night I new wasn't from engine so I thought gearbox I phoned the
Dealer up and they came to collect the car and said wad going to repair as under warranty. The day after they called me and said they was 2 bolt from the outer case missing and they found them in the gear box and the only way they could have got in there is if someone put in there so they won't fix as saying someone has tampered with the car they said if the bolts would have been in there when I took the csr I wouldnt have made it home. The bolts were 8mm there and 13 or 14 heads I only bought the car 2 weeks ago I can send photos if helps any help me tks

caveat emptor...
a 'used car dealer' ??
if there is no 24 48 hour 'cooling off' type law in your state-
I suspect there will be an attorney helping you soon.

There's no way to settle a dispute like that on a forum.
Doesn't matter much now but is the an automatic with a dipstick tube for checking level or a standard shift would be much harder for you if you did in fact pull that.

Nothing said by me is going to count for beans it's you and them. Now reason would say if a pan was removed along the way perhaps before dealer even got the car some might put bolts in a pan to clean whole thing up to put back on but not forget so it doesn't really meet the smell test. If anyone wanted to purposely mess up a car they could. This way if you did you wouldn't be sure it would harm it IMO.

Bring it up with them and go higher up as needed. Already said can't make any comment that would matter either way from here,
