Borg Warner T5 not staying in reverse Sign In

I have a 1991 Mazda RX7, with a SBC 350 and T5 transmission swap. The Borg Warner World Class T5 was out of a mid 90's Camaro (V6 i believe). I have rebuilt the trans with new synchros and checked all the gears for wear, etc.. I even added some parts to make the T5 a little more stout.

The transmission will go into reverse but when you come off the clutch it tends to pop out of reverse. All other gears are working fine. I have read into many mustang forums, only finding the trick of putting the car into 5th then reverse to get the flywheel to stop from rotating but i feel this is not the same issue.

If anyone has some insight it would be greatly appreciated!

Adventurous sport aren't you? BTW - "gsferraro" is this site's trans professional it was slow just a WAG. Hope the picture shows is a hit or miss for me + some IDK why on that.
The trans is still old no telling what it's been thru before you got it. There's a clip so small like a horseshoe between pivot lever and how reverse mechanism works would be soooo easy to lose or not install. Just a hunch that is holding pressure on that so it doesn't fall out of reverse as you said.
Not a specialty of mine do lots more watching on trans work then doing but done ONE lots simpler than this. The pic will save a zillion words showing that clip I just searched how it shifted to find it like you could too.
I'll show pic at the bottom don't expect it to show. Just BTW that trick of stopping the main shaft (not the flywheel) works for not grinding up reverse if too fast to shift into it isn't about this problem just I've done that since forever myself now habit.

Pic please! >< {{Nope. Try clicking on this >> https://www.bing.com/...48DCB0A7FC17A4335B59 <<}}
It was there for a moment shows the clip if not search it know it's installed. Worded that way see middle picture up top and rebuild kit the clip is lower right,

Hello,
What happens, you give it some gas and it pops out of reverse? Any grinding going into reverse when selected?

Yes, its popping out by just letting off the clutch. Sometimes it grinds into reverse but not everytime.

Hello,
As long as the linkage is ok and it's going all the way in, you have an internal problem with reverse, maybe something with then 5th/reverse synchro assembly

I plan on pulling the transmission out in a couple of weeks. I will have to inspect that 5th/reverse section in the tail housing area, There is quite a few tiny parts that could cause a problem there. Ill keep you posted.
