Automatic problem

Hello, I have a 2003 Ford Mondeo with 2.5 V6 petrol engine coupled with automatic gearbox (jatco jf506e, 5-speed). Old gearbox was completely broken, so i swapped the broken one to a used one that worked. Everything else is working fine now, except when you slow down. When you press the brakes (slowly), every time the gearbox is about to change into a smaller gear you can feel small judder from the brakepedal. Like ABS, but five times smaller. Does anyone know what could possibly be the reason for this?

Hello, Wow a ford Mondeo(never heard of that) Question, does it have to go into a certain gear for you to feel this judder, for instance what if you let it shift 1-2-3 and slowed down would you feel it. verus letting it shift up to 5th gear. Greetings from New York. Gary
