Citroen ZX 1992: Super reliable but suspension fail Sign In

I am the proud owner of an invincible Citroen zx 1992 1.9D. The car is incredibly reliable, however failed its inspection due to suspension.

The failure is described "poor fixation of suspension items to chassis or axle: Struts, arms".

The tyres were very worn, unevenly inside and have been replaced.

Can anyone advise on which component is likely to be poorly fixed? I am thinking lower control arms, due to the nature of the wear.

Also, how do I prevent this happening again? I am thinking tie rods, but open to suggestions.

Will I need to replace struts and arms, or in this situation, usually, can you rebuild using existing parts (replacing ball joints etc)

I am yet to check underneath to see where the poor fixation is. But I wondered what the most common issue is in this situation.

Thanks

Jim

We don't have that vehicle here in the US so we don't have any specific info on it.

This car is 34 years old so I sure there is a ton of rotten rubber bushings and worn out parts. The suspension needs to be inspected and worn components listed.
