How about you make your question a little clearer. What does manual emission mean? Are you trying to install an axle or a transmission. Automatic or manual? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Sorry, spell check issue. Manual transmission. I'm installing a new CV joint assumably. Just wondering if the car should be left in neutral or in gear. Thanks again Aaron

It can be done either way but might be easier to line up the splines if it was in gear.
