Hey Everyone, I have a 2010 Chevy Cobalt LS with 112K miles and I'm curious about a few things, I hope someone can give me a little guidance! About a 9 months ago I replaced the original driver's side wheel hub bearing with a wheel hub assembly from Advanced Auto Parts (Duralast, is their brand I think?). Anyway, 9 months have come and gone and surprisingly, the hub is starting to go AGAIN. This noise is enough to drive you mad. I'm planning on replacing the hub, however, I think the hub may be seized onto the CV thread that it sits on. I looked around and saw that when you do this kind of replacement you should always put anti seize on the thread. I did not do this. I've been lightly tapping the CV thread so as not to cause it and damage, and I got no movement of the hub. I'd say it's pretty stuck on Has anyone made this mistake? Any recommendations? I fear I may have to replace the CV Joint AND the hub. Thank you!

They don't always move that easily. Some have to be driven out with a heavy hammer and a block of wood. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
