I'm trying to decide what to do with a 2001 Honda CR-V L that was involved in a wreck a few days ago. Would appreciate it if anybody who is familiar with this model would take a look at the photos and tell me what they think it would take to repair...what parts are damaged and would need to be replaced, and how much you'd anticipate such a repair would cost if 1) I did it myself or 2) I took it to a shop. I'm more concerned with the mechanical components as I think I have a handle on the body parts that would need to be replaced/repaired. For some reason couldn't upload a jpeg here using the "upload photo" on site site...so here is a link to photos that I put on google photos. photos[dot]app[dot]goo[dot]gl[slash]nes1aSinAqy1URQA2 OR https://photos.app.goo.gl/nes1aSinAqy1URQA2

There is a lot more damage there than you would expect. There is clearly major suspension damage that will require closer examination to determine the extent of it. The radiator support is damaged also. This would easily be totaled if insurance was involved. The repairs would easily exceed the value of the car. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
