dual climate control	Sign In

on a 2004 chevrolet suburban dual climate control when in heat mode the driver side will blow cold air and the passenger side blows hot air as it should. Can someone please tell me what could cause this problem ? It has the 5.3L engine arnd 85k miles

First off, take the radiator cap off when the engine is cold and check to be sure the radiator is topped off.

If the coolant level is good in the radiator, your going to have to take it to a shop that has an enhanced scan tool that can retrieve trouble codes stored in the HVAC control module and be able to view temperature door counts to see if the actual door position and requested door position jive or not. If they don't jive, it's possible that you could have a faulty air door actuator.

Judging by the symptoms, you have a bad blend door actuator on the driver's side.
