2009 Jeep Compass. Air only gets lukewarm when engine is up to temp. Checked hoses going into heater core, they are both hot to the touch. Checked actuator on temp controller, and can hear the door moving into place, so i know it's working. Any suggestions on why it still only blows lukewarm air?

Clogged heater core? Have you tried to forward and back flush the core? Does the temperature change at all when you hear the door moving? How's the coolant level? Any trouble codes stored in the engine computer that are related to the thermostat? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
