For many it is that time or late to be sure your engine is safe from freezing coolant. Just remember that too much isn't the right thing for most vehicles. I'll also suggest flush and renew with the usual 50/50 mix for ethylene glycol based antifreeze and mix with distilled water especially if in doubt. Know the system's total capacity not what just drains out as few just passively drain all of it out.

Refilling a system can be a real challenge. Many will not burp out air pockets left unseen. Check again the levels and protection for a few cold to warmed up cycles to know that all is well. When in doubt or a difficult one get help in getting it right. Use products specifically recommended by vehicle's manufacturer.

Note: Plain water is not suggested for areas that do not get below freezing. Those still need protection for corrosion,
