Hey everyone!
I need help with my AC. I have a 99 Ford Explorer v8 5.0L all wheels drive and the AC has been acting weird.
This is what's been going on... The front AC was only coming on when it wanted to and it wasn't blowing air very hard. The back AC is working just fine. A friend looked at it and he messed with the blower motor and the AC came on and stayed on but the next day the front AC went out again. So I messed with the blower motor and it came back on. Just a reminder the back AC is still working fine. We both figured the blower motor was going out. I bought a blower motor and changed it myself. After everything was put back together I started the car up and the AC sounded like it was blowing hard but it was hardly blowing air, less than before and its hot air. The back AC is still working just fine and has decently cool air.
I believe I added every detail on what I've been experiencing. Can anyone help me figure out what I need to do??

Check to make sure nothing got sucked into the air intake first. Double check the the blower fins point in the same direction as the old one and that the motor rotates in the same direction.

Double check that the air isn't coming out the defrost instead.

The blower could be running backwards due to reversed polarity of your wiring connections.

I already asked her to check that.

Right, you stated to check to make sure the motor was rotating the same direction as the old motor. I was clarifying why the replacement motor would be going in the reversed direction if that was the case.

I doubt this one but GM did make motors and or blower cages that were directional always found out upon mis- installation not by surprise later,
