I have a 2005 Chevy Colorado with a 2.6 liter motor with 29,000 original miles. the truck is in very good shape but the air temperature mixing control valve will only move about half way. I removed all the front dash parts and followed the cable to the mixing flapper. Everything works well except the flapper. It feels like something is in the box preventing the flapper from moving the whole spectrum. I did remove the cable and the gear to verify the problem. Any solution?

Yes, there is a solution but you aren't going to like it. The dash has to come out and the HVAC housing has to come out and be disassembled to access the door. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
