1997 Chevy C3500, 7.4L. Aux cooling fan is not working. The fan is not getting power and I'm trying to locate the Aux cooling fan relay. Where is the relay?

Looking at the electrical prints in the Haynes manual, the aux cooling fan should come on when the A/C compressor starts. I know this manual is not the greatest and I hope it is not leading me down the wrong path. I was tempted to wire the fan to a switch but I would also like to know what the problem is.

Thanks,
Ricky

If this fan is GM factory installed they will at their parts counter have a diagram and a relay (likely) for this. If it's aftermarket you need to chase it all down - if you know the maker give them a call. Even aftermarket should be fused and have a relay. Good luck with the fix,
