Last week I turned the temperature control knob from max cold to min cold and after turning it back it won't go back to cold. First I thought maybe the freon was a little low so I checked pressure and it is good. Then tonight I turned the heater on and turned temp control to max, then turned ac on to max cold and now the heater stays on. Meanwhile I noticed the panel is cracked and getting worse as I mess with it. I just bought this truck and wonder if the guy I bought it from knew all along what was up, he wont answer my calls, so I'm stuck with it......I feel that I need to replace the whole control panel and want to know two things......Is this panel elecronic control? (manual control knobs), can I pull the battery cable and reset it? How do you get the dash bezel off without destroying it? Any tricks to take this apart.......????? Also, is link deleted a reputable site to purchase parts?

The temperature is controlled by the use of an air mix door that is operated by an electric motor/actuator. This door can be jammed or the actuator can be inoperative or have stripped plastic gears internally. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
