Car: mercedes benz Model : 2012 c class Engine size 180 Hello, I had a problem with my car, and the mechanic who checked it said my fuel monitor was failing. He replaced it, and the car seems to be working normally now. However, I am worried that the replacement part might not be compatible, especially since the serial number on it differs from the one originally in my car. The on on my car was 2129003408 , the replacement part was 2129000306 I am concerned that this could ultimately damage my car. Could you please provide your advice?

The actual name of the part is a fuel pump drive module. It's a part number, not a serial number. With what little info I can find on these part numbers, the one they installed appears to be for an "E" class and not your car. The only way you can know for sure is to ask the Mercedes dealer. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
