Electrical problems Sign In

2009 Mazda5 sometimes doesn’t turn over in park, have to put in neutral. AC acting up, engine light comes on and I get different codes. Was o2 sensor I replaced and still got reading month later, last reading was evac emission control vent circuit malfunction. Battery low in morning, I replaced and still have to occasionally jump car in morning . Now AC come on sometimes when I start the car by itself. All different problems only connection seems to be something electrical. HELP! I am not going to keep replacing parts till I can figure out real problem!

Re: Electrical problems Sign In

Slow down here. There is very little chance all this is related so tackle one problem at a time and one question at a time.

We'll call this one the "no Crank" problem. For that is sounds like you need a new transmission range sensor. This used to be called the neutral safety switch.

Fix that and we will go from there.

PS, you already know you have a battery problem so replace that before asking any more electrical questions.
