The driver's window switch on my wife's car came off, so I replaced the whole assembly with one from amazon. When I plugged the new assembly in the driver's window goes down automatically and won't roll-up. So I went and bought a switch assembly from the Hyundai dealership by my house and all the other windows work except the driver's window. I know the motor is still good because the switch from amazon will still power the motor automatically. I even tried to swap the window motor from the back door, and as soon as I plug in the amazon switch the window will roll up automatically. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I am thinking of tracing the wires back and looking for a short or resetting the computer. Or do I just need to try another switch assembly from Hyundai?

For now and should do for this is just test at motor's wiring if polarity reverses (it doesn't by all odds) then go back to under the switch looking for the same. Keep going till you find where it loses by all odds power not ground that should be constant when window motors are enabled and any work.

Just deductive reasoning before you go more nuts about it. Driver's door always is the suspect for the source of a problem simply because the most used.

Amazon is just wonderful but IDK for car parts like a switch unless you think it really came from Hyundai or simple enough for electrical parts to trust cloned or hacked parts abundant as all get out look great and don't work!

Most late model cars with auto up and down features require a relearn whenever the motors are disconnected. On some cars this can only be done with a professional scan tool and on others it can be done by manually holding the switch in down position for 10 seconds after it seats at the bottom and then do the same thing for up.
