That's about as hard as it gets. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Could be either one. You aren't going to know until you actually check it out while it's dead.

This climate control system is a little complex. The climate control module (ccm) talks to the central electronic module(cem). Based on the inputs the ccm receives it tells the cem how fast it wants the blower to run. The cem sends a pulse width modulated signal to the blower driver to regulate the motor's speed. There is no conventional blower resistor. The blower's speed is controlled by transistors built inside it based on the duty cycle of the signal it receives from the cem. Maybe you should let this one go and send the person to a professional. You don't want to spend 7 hours ripping the dash out thinking you can just connect the blower motor to a battery to get it to work. It needs not only battery and ground, but it also needs a duty cycled signal to operate. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
