Octane And Compression ratio Sign In

I have a 1.6 lancer and the compression ratio is 10 is it ok to use 92 octane gasoline ?

Simply use what the car was designed for. If you are hearing knocks it wants higher octane.

Interesting as the only choices where I live are 87, 89, and 93 octane. If you live in high altitude they did sell lower octane fuel and call it regular to premium with lower numbers but I bet they've stopped that, T
