Car started running poor. Changed coil packs w a friends car & checked wire connections. Still running Poor. AMM ( or Air flow meter) is buzzing. Manual says check resistance between & 3 & 3 connections. DOesnt say from left or right side of connector. Has anyone checked one of these? Do You know if You check resistance between 2 & 3 from Left Or Right????? Need to buy one if anyone has a used one for sale. Thanks John

we had an '86 240G that we sold a couple of years ago and we did have to change the AMM a little before we sold it. on this one you could hold the amm up to the light and actually see that one of the little cross hair wires was broken. that is probably not the only way they go bad. we found one at the junk yard for $50 and it worked fine as long as we had it. we had a haynes or a chiltons that tells how to check the resistance and i don't remember exactly how it described to orient the pin locations for testing, but i will see if i can find that manual.

I found my old haynes manual for the volvo. it covers '76 thru '93 models and it indicates that the 92 might be the LH 2.4 or the LH 3.1 jetronic fuel injection system. the 3.1 started using a hot film in place of the platinum crosshair wires. Either way if you can drive it to autozone or similar store they should be able to see if it has some trouble codes stored (maybe only if there is a check engine light on). if yours is the hot film version this book says disconnect it and measure between 1 (green yellow) and 4 (red/ white). it should be 108 ohms.
