OIL sending unit Sign In

I am NOT getting an engine fault code. I thought about where this post should go and this came the closest. I have a 2003 chevy impala 3.4 L , that while checking out something else discovered that maybe that the cars " low oil pressure warning " may not be working...at all. I have the information tracking system, where the low oil warning shows on a small screen on the dash..NOT a lamp indicator. You know how on other cars when you change the oil and filter, when you start the car back up for a moment the oil warning light comes on, I assume that on my car it should do the same , even though it is the information tracking system, I open the door, instantly the door open appears. I turn off the engine with the key in the ignition. instanly the battery icon appears on the display, so I am thinking that when I change my oil and start my car for a second or two I should see low oil pressure with the oil lamp emblem....nothing. I asked a few shops even the dealer and all I can get out of them is that the car uses anti drain back. I just drained the oil...there is no oil, just the new uncirculated oil in the pan. Anyway from the schematics it look like the oil sending unit connects a signal to ground with no pressure. I took the oil sending unit out. about 890 ohms from the one terminal to the case ( ground) . I stuck a probe up where the oil goes and actuated the sensor, went to infinite resistance. There is about 750mV between the connector from the wirring harness to ground. What do you think is wrong?
