It appears you had a low voltage situation. The first thing I would do is have the battery and charging system tested. Once you resolve the voltage issue you can clear all the codes and determine if all the codes were caused by the low voltage. If the battery and the charging system tests good, then you are going to be looking for a wiring or connection problem causing the overall voltage loss. Cleaning the battery cables would be a good idea. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

didnt start it tested just the battery and its reading 11.6 volts. its about 3-4 months old what do you think something would cause a 3-4 month old battery to lose power what do you think thanks

That's not testing the battery. It needs to be tested with specific equipment that tests the health of the battery, not just the state of charge. Once you have a good battery, then they need to test the charging system.

New battery doesn't mean it's good!! It's somewhat common for them to be dropped (none like that) or NG from new. Almost nobody charges a new one up BEFORE installing it! Hence the alternator works harder than usual for a while can get a Domino effect of stressing things out. Belt must be known good with no slippage (any) plus U-bolts cleaned up and I prefer to grease all with dialectic grease too. Nobody does that stuff not even cars built new. The 11.6V is just one of tests it's low or you had the door and lights were on inside? IDK there's more to it than that. Battery time if it failed (last one) was already stressing out the system all plays in concert be aghast it delivers proper charge and voltage with varying engine speeds, ambient temps and a list of things the least of which is against them is always fatal, is also eminent, is age, Tom

I had the battery tested at my local auto parts store. They said it needed a charge.after about 4 hours tested it again. Everything looked good. put it back in my car and it started right up no check engine light also tested the voltage output while it was running. The reading was 14.7 V. If there was still something wrong would the check engine light not come on right away because the battery was disconnected from the terminal for so long? Thanks again

Sounds like it passed both tests so this won't be as easy as we hoped. Back to cleaning the battery cables good and looking for loose wires feeding the fuse box.

OK, so battery is working now and 14.7 while running is in line with correct. Now read that with a load on it. By that can it stay above 12.6V if all was accurate with blower to heat or A/C going full, all lights on and if equipped the rear window defogger/defroster the alternator is being worked as LOAD testing would do otherwise out of the car. The history of why this needed a new battery in play? Was it due for a reason I've listed like just old + couldn't provide enough CCA = Cold Cranking Amps @ 32F. Can do what I said while watching voltage from a live power port at engine idle and if better or no change with raising the idle yourself by foot. Sorry for long explanation it has to do this or a problem hasn't been nailed down yet. Any lights on for compartments or other toys out of clear sight? Hood light when open only glove boxes - anything even one bulb can take a battery down given some amount of time. Almost done but it needs to test OK for power of AMPS not just the PUSH of volts - follow me? They make power port volt lights if alone don't need to be at the battery checking. That/those should be equal to direct to battery. If it does this again and doesn't start or crank normally this isn't over on to a parasitic drain and more boring stuff I/we'll wait for results of what I just suggested you can do alone, Tom

OK, not fixed yet. Battery still or charging system. To check volts on this use the post not the U-bolts as that's the battery takes out a problem with clamps. If different checking they make good splice ends better than OE. Feel belt and see if you can turn an item on belt by hand - shouldn't be able to means slipping quietly or you'd know. Trying to be concise it's back to checks batteries that are liquid lead acid non AGM are harmed just going dead/flat pick the term. > Begin there report what you find no whole course in charging systems, Tom

Took it to a shop and they replaced the alternator , they said batt. was good . They have $10,000 worth of test equipment and all's good . Thanks again you never know with these newer computer driven vehicles

Thanks for follow up. YES, alternators use battery to work. They can fail and use some or a lot while OFF - rare side, Tom
